Understanding Your Worth

Once we enter this world, its a transition from dark to light, from protection of the feminine energy to now fending for yourself. Over the years, you adapt and grow, learning new skills to survive in this world. But what happens when that small infant is surrounded by trauma? We may not realise it but the subconscious mind, below the age 7 is the most fundamental aspect to take into consideration throughout the journey of human development. Awareness doesn’t begin once your analytical skills kick in, it begins the moment you are born.

  1. Awareness:

Becoming consciously aware of your habits is the first step to healing, moving forward and understanding what you are worth. The best way to practice awareness is to act as the observer. The observer of your own thoughts, behaviours and patterns. If you notice any of these are not serving you in any way, then ask yourself; why are you still attached to them? Journal these answers down and let your thoughts flow.

2. Meeting Your Younger Self:

Wherever those answers take you, it takes you back to past version of yourself, most likely where the non-serving attachments stemmed from. This is the moment where emotions start to arise for some. It could be feelings of discomfort, sadness, anger or even regret. In this moment, see your younger self, what are his/her behavioural patterns? Are you reactive or responsive? Observe yourself from an outside lens and notice the person you were. Smile and show love to to that individual, have a conversation with them and give them a hug at the end of that conversation. With this, you are sending love to that version of you, this is most important as it decreases the resentment most feel towards themselves, which is where the unworthiness usually stems from.

3. Changing Beliefs:

After taking note of your triggers, you have become aware of what you need to let go of. However, remember whatever behaviour/habit you choose to let go of, must be replaced with something better to ensure your growth. Especially when it comes to your self-talk and internal beliefs regarding you. Affirmations are one of the greatest tools to use, and with repetition of these, it strengthens the neurons within your brain which in turn will guide you into manifesting it into your reality because it has now become part of you.

Take charge of your life, you have the power to create your own reality, never let anyone tell you otherwise.

With love,
